Artist: Boards of Canada Album: is the first EP released by Boards of Canada, on their own Music70 record label in 1995. It was a self-financed cassette and record distributed privately. Major public releases would not happen until 1996's Hi Scores EP on Skam Records. This EP was, however, the work which got them noticed by Skam Records. In 2002, this EP was reissued on vinyl and CD by Warp Records. Twoism download. Seeya Later download. Boards Of Canada. Initially limited to 100 copies on Boards of Canada's own Music70 label, 1995's Twoism EP set a high standard for future BoC output - though only the few willing to pay silly money for it were able to hear for themselves until Warp quietly reissued it on CD at the tail end of 2002. For those trying to compare it to the full-length debut Music Has the Right to Children, it holds up surprisingly well granted, two tracks here were only slightly reworked for later release. The Boards' cassette-only sonic limitations are the most telltale sign of the times that produced Twoism. While Directine showcases the particular sense of disembodiment the duo induces, with synths floating and kicks to give it that sense of propulsion, the individual, isolated hits are distorted and fuzzy, muddying the overall effect. Déjà vu is not necessarily a bad thing, and Twoism contains signs of refinement beyond its place as Stonehenge simplicity to underscore the Paul Lafoley complexity Boards reached by the time of Geogaddi. • Beazekelv
album is nice but .... hey guys you are really crazy to buy this for hundreds of bucks, huhuuuuuu ;)
  • Ckelond
Is there any rip of the 5:40 version of Sixtyniner anywhere online? Or is the extra time just a larger gap between songs?
  • Ariseym
Just a moment at the end of the track that is repeated, we feel the repetition precisely....
  • Lbe
It's like basefree predicted Burial. Way ahead of its time.
  • Delaath
Fuck yeah...... when "basefree" was conceived, burial wasn't even born.......
  • Zahisan
224 owners and only 100 copies.I don't understand the mistake ???
  • Brakree
A beautiful EP that showcases BOC's overall sound. While they would build upon the instrumentation in this EP to become the Trip-hop masters they are now, this EP has some very beautiful melodies and banging drum beats.
  • Hucama
Should be listed as EP or mini-album under format.Yes or No?
  • Fast Lovebird
I love how this version was printed in only 100 copies, but 174 people claim to have it... ;-)
  • I love Mercedes
Would you mind selling me one? :)["At least 10 words must be entered. Please enter at least 3 more."]

mogwaidk It might be people who have the original Warp pressing thinking this is the copy they own? Of course, pretty much everyone else is lying haha
  • Blackredeemer
I've got five copies. No really.
  • Angana
"Surely will be forgotten in a decade."Will forget your statement in the next seconds
  • Madis
This image was used on a sticker that was on a white die cut sleeve.
  • Runemane
Does this version have the entire cover with the artwork, or what does it look like?
  • Fek
The original Music70 version was certainly only 100 copies. People who own the Warp re-issue are coming here thinking the editions are the same.
  • Bluecliff
This is the music70 version. the music70 version had only 100 prints.
  • dermeco
100 copies on Music70, the rest on Warp, surely?
  • Breder
yep that's why i put this comment on the BOARD1 version ;) Thanks for your thoughts though sir
  • Zulkishicage
31 people at least are faking they have it in their collection or mistake it with the Warp pressing. Only 100 copies pressed on music70. All labels have been pasted by hand, 6 separate labels for each release. Vinyl has text "BOARD1A" and "BOARD1B".
  • Wnex
100 copies ?? Yeah, right...
  • Bluddefender
They probably have passed the minialbum from one to another or have made digital copies of the original 1995 pressing
  • Rindyt
Well hooper bay had been made (reportedly from the boc website) 200 copies.
  • Olwado
How it is possible that few hundred people have the item despite 'limited' or limited edition?
  • Sironynyr
Yeah, and 70 people *totally* have Hooper Bay.
  • MrRipper
There is a difference between people having the Warp Records reissue, and having the original release on Music 70. I'm sure some people on Discogs mistakenly checked that they have this original release, when in fact their copy was pressed for Warp Records.
