Manufacturer now DBA as radiospirits.com. They chiefly release transcriptions of radio shows performed during the "golden age of radio," before such shows were supplanted by television. Most current releases are on CD; some earlier ones like this were available on cassette.

This release featured two half-hour shows, one on each side of the cassette. Side A: The Marriage Contest (February 7, 1946): George and Gracie are finalists in a newspaper's happiest marriage contest, unbeknownst to George. Gracie has to try and make George happy before the judge arrives. Side B: The President's Advisor (Feb. 21, 1946):George and Gracie's friend, Harry Mort, sends them a letter offering George a job picking apples. George and Gracie mistake the note for President Harry Truman and they prepare to go to the White House.


Burns and Allen was an American comedy duo consisting of George Burns and his wife, Gracie Allen. They worked together as a successful comedy team that entertained vaudeville, film, radio, and television audiences for over forty years. The duo met in 1922 and married in 1926. Burns played the straight man and Allen played a silly, addle-headed woman.
