Album

Diary of a Madman is the second studio album by British heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne. It was released on 7 November 1981, and re-issued on CD on 22 August 1995. This is the last Osbourne studio album to feature guitarist Randy Rhoads and drummer Lee Kerslake. An altered version appeared in 2002 with the original bass and drum parts removed and re-recorded. To date, the album has sold over 3 million copies. This budget-priced two-fer pairs Ozzy Osbourne's landmark 1981 album and last outing with legendary guitar player Randy Rhodes Diary of a Madman with his 1991 comeback record No More Tears. With a combined playlist that includes such classics as Over the Mountain, Flying High Again, Mama, I'm Coming Home, and No More Tears, it's hard to argue with the quality, but most of the highlights from both albums can be found on the 2006 career overview Essential Ozzy Osbourne. Over The Mountain, der Ballade Tonight, der tollen Rock Hymne You Can't Kill Rock And Roll bis hin zum absoluten Highlight Diary Of A Madman. Ozzy Osbourne 's second album, Diary of a Madman , arrived on Nov. 7, 1981 as another masterful metallic showcase for the former Black Sabbath singer and for his mercurial six-string phenom, Randy Rhoads. Together, this dynamic duo was rewriting the rules of commercial heavy metal at the dawn of the '80s, and the future looked so bright, it helped obfuscate the strange events surrounding the creation of his sophomore album beginning with the question of who exactly played on it.
