I was a Notts punk in the early 80's, and although I don't remember ever seeing The Abductors play, I knew bassist Skwid quite well. He was a real character and was one of the first Notts punks to befriend me and my mates when we first ventured into the middle of Nottingham to hang out as 13-14 year-olds in 1980/81 [he was with a guy called Victim, who was also a really good guy].
